Worst pseudo- spiritual place I've ever been.read on to understand why many won't go and are turned off by Christians with better than others attitudes.
In my sevond visit i was late for service and i observed a support staff that was unfriendly, rude, and offensive.
From about the moment i arrived, even after i jumped (an assumed overlooked member) and woman with a baby's car, i was treated with disrespect and i vowed i would never return.
I then went back to Unity Church and again had the opportunity to offer assistance to one in need. But this time to a challenged person in distress and at Unity i was thanked by several good people.
I was welcomed at Unity and worked on overcoming the hatred i received from first Baptists horrible staff.
I told this story and will continue to do so to anyone who will listen- perhaps tO WARN the 6000 or so within my social media influence
TO CLARIFY, At first Baptist of Daytona, the overzealous excess "security" staff seemed to be on the lookout to harass and threaten homeless. i found oddly, they rent an armed detail of wildlife officers to do their bidding.
i also thought later, Maybe they view people they feel are of lesser value and undeserving of their pseudo sanctuary, as animals and hired armed WILDLIFE officers in like mind, so as not to have to get thier hands dirty, after all - they must feel they are the " godly".
Perhaps because there staff isn't brave enough, or capable enough to harass the unfortunate to the degree they desire, or thier higher ups are not wanting to be seen carrying out their unchristian, ungodly instructions.
With there radio equipped maintenance and security armed staff focus on and patrolling for a percieved threat of undesirables , they neglected to observe or refused to help a young woman with a baby. And, after i came to her aid, they commenced with what i can only descibe as unfriendly and rude harassment.
I wonder, Did i not look like i had enough money to donate? I was wearing $200 Armani singleness and driving.
It seems unbelievable that such a miserable and undesirable group would join in disrespecting others, AT A CHURCH.
To summarize; i am completely disgusted by first Baptist of Daytonas staff's attitudes absolutely the worst church experience ever. I plan to visit all in area and rate other real spiritual places of worship, to be fair. i will also post in Spanish, Hangul, mandarin Chinese, and GermanAdded March 08, 2017 by Doc Floyd - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I visited this church today and from the time I walked in the door until the time I walked out, not one person said anything to me at all. I really didn't need them to, I wasn't there for that, it's just an observation. I am moving to the area soon and will be looking for a church. I just feel like if the church doesn't make us feel welcome that the world always will. I came alone, as my husband is back home working. We lost a young member of our family this week, which laid heavy on my heart. It would have been nice just to connect with just one person. But it's ok, I will be visiting other churches and I may return here again, we'll have to see. Thank you all for the nice memorial day service.

Good bunch of Christ centered folks. Very friendly. Lots of stuff going on for the kids. They have a large property on the west side of Daytona where they do worship under a tent but contemporary music.
